Climate action fintech, Amplify, launches in the UK and Ireland

Supported by Enterprise Ireland and approved by the world’s leading card networks, the climate donation app allows conscious shoppers to earn free donations as they shop with a network of sustainable brands.

Amplify is on a mission to transform the climate action of every sustainable purchase. By allowing shoppers to earn free, personalised, climate donations from their spending, Amplify is delivering a game-changing donation experience for sustainable brands and their customers, amplifying the climate action of conscious consumerism.

Commenting on the launch, Conor O’Laoire (above, left), CEO and Co-Founder of Amplify said: “The impact the climate crisis is having on us today is both disheartening and worrying. We launched Amplify with an overall goal of further empowering the end customer to tackle climate change.

One silver lining from the pandemic has been the increased shift towards conscious consumerism, which showed us that so many people and businesses alike are already taking action against climate change. Giving back now also plays an important role in CSR strategies for businesses of all sizes, and so creating a customer-driven donation app that supports climate causes seemed like the perfect fit to assist both enterprises and individual consumers.”

Amplify partners with a network of sustainable brands, allowing their customers to earn a donation for a high-impact climate cause of their choice on every purchase, at no added cost. Shoppers sign up to Amplify by selecting a climate cause of their choice, and securely linking their bank card. Powered by card-linking technology, users shop as normal with any sustainable brand in Amplify’s network, and 2% of each transaction is automatically donated to their chosen climate cause, at no added cost.

“The ultimate goal for Amplify is to build a global donation network of sustainable brands and conscious consumers, creating a collective force of climate action. If we can take the positive impact of every sustainable purchase, and amplify it with a climate donation, the impact of conscious consumerism can be taken to an entirely new level,” concluded O’Laoire.

Users can choose from a wide range of high-impact climate causes to support, including Fashion Revolution, Friends of the Earth Ireland,, Rainforest Trust UK, and many more.
