Eden Reforestation Projects

Every 10 USD donated plants 100 trees and provides 1 day of employment in an impoverished community!

Who are we?

Our organisation

Our mission?
Our mission is to offer the dignity of fair employment to people living in impoverished communities, who become transformational agents of global forest restoration.
How do we measure the impact of our work?
We measure the impact of our work on both environmental and socioeconomic levels. During the planting season, Our international team takes GPS-embedded photos at all of our planting sites and monitors environmental impact through permanent forest inventory plots that help us track survival across our sites. Through our Employ to Plant methodology, we hire people living in the communities surrounding our planting sites to restore their land. We conduct socio-economic assessments to determine our impact on surrounding communities’ financial stability and overall well-being. Through steady employment, people who have been living in extreme poverty can quickly begin to provide food, shelter, and resources for their families.
What environmental work do we do?
Deforestation is a global phenomenon caused by a variety of factors. We are reversing this negative cycle by employing thousands of people to restore forests, affording them the dignity of employment and the opportunity to provide a better life for their families. We do this by producing, planting, and protecting millions of trees per month. Through our agroforestry program, we produce, plant, and protect an assortment of trees and crops that, in turn, produce direct economic benefits, such as food and medicine, in addition to environmental benefits. These forests help our community partners create better lives for their families while restoring degraded land, protecting critical habitats, and sequestering carbon.
Where do we carry out this work?
We currently operate in eight nations, with three more on the way. These nations include Brazil, Ethiopia, Haiti, Honduras, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Nepal, Nicaragua, and the Philippines.
What impact have we achieved to date?
By providing over one million work days to communities experiencing poverty, we have produced and planted over 680 million trees.
